In the Beginning - Texas A&M Football, 1894

This is how it all started. During the 1890s, the sport of football was taking hold of the psyches of young men ready to prove their toughness. Freshman Milton Sims wanted to field a team and made it happen. The first coach was Dudley Perkins, who also played right end.

They didn't have numbers. Or helmets. A touchdown was worth 4 points and a field goal worth 5. Times have changed.

Team founder Milt Sims left school the following year. His reason? "Thee-hundred men and no women at all. It wasn't much fun." Yes, times have certainly changed.

Aggies cherish their history, but I don't need to tell you that. This print will make your favorite Aggie smile.

It's 24 by 18 inches, so it can fit in a standard size frame without a mat if you choose.
